What are you doing this Saturday? Whatever it is, cancel your plans, put the partying on ice and get your culture on! ArtsFest returns to Birmingham from Friday 7th September to Sunday 9th, and anyone who is anyone should get on down to the UK’s largest free arts festival. It features everything from live music, dance, visual art and, of course, film, all produced by local talent. It is specifically the short film strand we are excited about. Why? Because, like last year, our work has been fortunate enough to be selected for a screening! This is brilliant news, and we couldn’t be more delighted.
The 2012 film strand, presented by the fine people at IdeasTap, takes place at mac Birmingham in the city centre. Starting from Saturday 8th September at 4:30pm, the programme features a variety of shorts from young filmmakers. Our latest short, The Iron Lady, is the lucky film, and we are thrilled that it will play on the big screen at one of our home city’s premier arts venues. The programme starts at 4:30pm and runs for half an hour, and then will be shown again from 5:00pm until 5:30pm. This gives you two chances to watch a man in drag play Maggie Thatcher, and all the other fine films on the bill. As well as this, the whole is absolutely 100% FREE! So there really is no excuse to miss out on a fantastuc event, that is kind to your wallet too.
