Hi everyone! With the summer sadly over we must embrace the damp, wind and falling leaves of autumn. But to cheer you in the grey days ahead a friendly reminder that Birmingham ArtsFest will be showing The Interviewee this weekend as part of their film programme. What are you waiting for? Come and see!
As we have mentioned once before ArtsFest is the UK’s largest free arts festival, taking place in various locations across the city on Saturday 10th-Sunday 11th September. It features everything from live music, dance, visual art and, of course, film, all produced by local talent. The Shortcuts 2011 film strand, presented by KINO 10, takes place at The Crescent Theatre in the city centre. Starting from Saturday 10th September at 3pm, the programme features everything from animation to documentaries and a comedy shorts. This strand, entitled Just For Laughs, starts at 5:40pm and features our RTS Midlands nominated short film The Interviewee, as well as six other locally produced comic shorts. Come on down and watch the film in the city that gave it life, from the creative wellspring of Birmingham writer/director David Poole’s fevered mind and the production talents of the BBC Birmingham Drama Village team. The whole day’s programme runs until 9:15pm, so if our little film is not enough to sweeten the deal you can come down and watch the whole shebang, and all for 100% free, free, FREE! So, a great event, and kind to your wallet too.
